11 Tips to Get Rid of Dark Circles at Home.
A major problem in our life these days are those ugly black huge dark circles!! Thanks to our lifestyle! (Working late night, sleeping on the way to work, eating anything that’s in our hand’s reach, hardly anytime to exercise) It all shows on our face!! All the stress and issues of our day-to-day life cause these horrible big circles which rarely go with the help of cosmetic products! The best you can do is hide it with thick layers of make up! But can you carry make up all the time? What if your concealer is washed away in the rains? OMG! :/
Get rid of dark circles naturally with these grandma tips
1. Sleep!
The simplest way to get rid of your dark circles is to sleep for at least 6 hours! Use a pillow to raise your head a bit, this prevents fluids from accumulating around your eyes.
Some people have dark circles even if they sleep enough (Blame your genes). If you are one of them, keep reading
2. Cucumber!
Yes, all of us know that a cucumber is the best way to get rid of dark circles naturally! Just chop a slice and keep it on your eyes for around 10 minutes. Nothing can beat the coolness of a cucumber.
Another way to use cucumbers for dark circles is to crush a cucumber in a food processor and soak a cotton pad in the freshly formed crush. Keep this cotton pad on your eye for 15 mins everyday.
3. Frozen wipes.
Pop a face wipe in the freezer. Keep it inside overnight. Remove it in the morning and place it on your eyes. Keep it till it gets warm. Do this every morning for a week and just see the results.
4. Spoon method.
Keep two spoons in the freezer for 15 mins. Remove and place on your eyes till it warms up again. Never apply ice directly under your eyes! It’s like giving shock therapy to your under eye skin! 😛
5. Tea bags.
Tea has antioxidants which is proven effective in multiple ways. One of its benefits is to get rid of dark circles. Place a used,cooled and squeezed tea bag on each eye for 10 mins everyday.
6. Raw potato.
Cut a thick slice of raw potato and keep in freezer. Keep these slices on your eyes for 20 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day for best results.
7. Treat your allergies!
Dark circles are sometimes caused because of allergies. Histamine in the body causes blood vessels under your eye to swell causing puffy eyes! If you think you have an allergy, treat it!
8. Almond Oil.
Massaging almond oil around the eye before going to bed has been proven to reduce dark circle and puffy eyes.
9. Tomato.
Tomatoes are used since ages to lighten and brighten the skin. It’s not only beneficial for dark circles but also great for facial skin! It’s used in anti-tan scrubs too!
10. Rose water.
Rose water is another ingredient which is used for treating a number of skin related issues. Soak a cotton ball in rose-water and place on your eye every night. It reduces puffiness immediately.
11. Mint leaves and Apple Crush.
Crush mint leaves and apple in a food processor. Apply around your eyes and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Wipe with a clean cold cloth .
